At Carter Park Dental, we have worked with many, many clients who have a desire to have whiter teeth. It’s just a simple fact of life that so many of the foods and drinks that we most enjoy — coffee, tea, wine, soy and marinara sauces, cola, sports drinks, and more — have a habit of staining our teeth. 

These stains can make us feel self-conscious, and can deflate our confidence. While avoiding the foods and beverages that are most likely to stain our teeth is always an option, it’s not necessarily the most realistic one. 

No matter what the reason is you want to whiten your teeth, whether it’s feeling more confident in Zoom meetings, in photos, or just because it makes you feel better for you, a brighter, whiter smile is something you can have.

Teeth whitening option #1: In-office bleaching

Yes, it’s true! We can whiten your teeth right here in our practice. This is probably the fastest way to whiten your smile. 

Appointments for in-office whitening usually take about an hour, and a single session can provide dramatic results. Multiple sessions might be necessary, given how stained your teeth are and what the results you want to achieve are, but one session whitening sessions are very common for our patients. 

Typically, we’ll provide this service after we’ve done a thorough cleaning and examination of your teeth to ensure there aren’t other dental problems, like cavities, that need to be treated first. 

Teeth whitening option #2: Custom at-home bleach trays

This option allows you to do your teeth whitening at home, and with custom fit trays, the whitening solution can do a better job of getting on and into your teeth’s unique anatomy. We’ll create impressions of your teeth in the practice, and send those impressions away to have your trays made. Once they’re complete, we’ll invite you back to the office to make certain they fit comfortably. We’ll also show you how to best use the best them with the whitening solution so that you can get the results you want. 

Teeth whitening option #3: One-size-fits-all at-home bleach trays 

This is the simplest, least expensive option. Carter Park Dental can provide you stock, one-size-fits-all trays and the same whitening solution used with custom-fit solutions. Though you might not be able to achieve the same results with stock pieces as you can with personalized options, you can improve the brightness of your smile.
